Don't try to be nice

Something has been annoying me recently: People, please stop telling me that I am not fat, or that I look good, when I say that I've been working out or that I want to lose a few pounds. If I am telling you that I would like to get back to the weight I was in high school, I am not secretly begging for compliments or starving for attention. More likely, I'd just like for you to understand why I don't eat that slice of pizza or have that margarita. I know I'm not fat. I also don't have self-esteem issues. However, I would still like to be healthier than I am now so that I can play basketball again, dance better, and have more energy in general.

Thanks for listening. I'm done being annoyed now.
